On behalf of all the children, the staff and governors, I would like to welcome you to South Lake Primary School’s website.

Our website brings together everything you need to know about our school — from practical details like our staff team and school uniform to what the children learn and how we keep them safe.

We admit 60 children each year to Reception and this is our Planned Admission number (PAN) for each year group. We still have places for Reception children, due to the low birth rates in the area.

We are delighted to welcome you and your family to South Lake Primary School! Thank you for entrusting us with care of your child on this exciting part of their school journey. 

We will soon be sending you a welcome pack by post with details of start dates and transition visits, but please save the date of Friday 3^rd July; that will be the day for the Stay and Play session. This session will take place in the morning at 9.00 am and ends at 10:00am, you are asked to bring your child with you and stay with them until the session ends.

We will meet in the main hall for a brief overview with our head teacher who will chat through how our reception year group works, general information about our reception classes and important information about South Lake Primary. After this you and your child will visit our reception class area.  During this time, we are hoping that you will be able to explore our classrooms, outdoor area and our forest school in our wooded area.  There will be an opportunity for you to speak with the reception class teachers and team, ask any further questions you may have and also have a drink and snack with all of our new families joining us in September.

So please make a note of Friday 3^rd July to come along with your child to our stay and play session from 9:00am to 10:00am.
