Survival is the Key!

Reporting from the Survival Course

Students on the survival skills course were set a task to makes a waterproof shelter using sticks, leaves and any materials from the woodland area.  They weren’t expecting an extra challenge of how to get into the woods as the key had gone missing and they found themselves locked out!
Luckily Oliver King came up with a brilliant plan to use a step ladder with the lecturers helping the children cross the fence safely.  ‘It was so embarrassing to lose the key’, said Ryan in Year 6.
Everyone was soon busy making their shelters, Carmell said that ‘finding the wood and material was difficult but we did it just in time!’
